Eligible countries and conditions in the official announcement

Researchers in 11 countries can now publish in Open Research Europe, the European Commission's open-access publishing platform, without paying publication fees, under a collective funding model.

The official announcement lists the eligible countries and the conditions.

Why it matters

Open-access publication is mandatory for Horizon Europe results. A fee-free route reduces the dissemination costs that consortia must budget for, so it is worth checking eligibility before fixing the dissemination budget in a proposal.
